Terms of Service

By using the Figly web dashboard and Android TV application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Figly is a parental content control tool that helps parents manage what their children can access on Android TV devices (Chromecast with Google TV). Figly aggregates content information from streaming services and applies parent-configured filters.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal guardian of any children whose profiles you create in Figly. By creating a child profile, you represent that you have parental authority over that child.

3. Account and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and PIN.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Content and Filtering

• Figly provides content filtering tools based on metadata, ratings, and safety tags. Filters are advisory, not guaranteed. Content metadata may be incomplete or inaccurate.
• Figly does not host, stream, or provide access to any video content. We only provide information about content available on third-party streaming services.
• Streaming availability changes frequently. Figly is not responsible for content that becomes unavailable or changes providers.
• Parents are ultimately responsible for supervising their children's viewing. Figly is a tool to assist, not a substitute for parental judgment.

5. Takeover Mode

When Takeover Mode is enabled, Figly replaces the default Android TV launcher and restricts access to unapproved apps. By enabling Takeover Mode, you acknowledge:

• A PIN is required to exit Takeover Mode or access device settings.
• If you forget your PIN, you may need to factory reset the device.
• Figly is not responsible for any inability to access device functions while Takeover Mode is active.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access other users' accounts
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Create fraudulent accounts or pairing codes

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONTENT FILTERS WILL BE 100% ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIGLY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FROM CONTENT EXPOSURE, DATA LOSS, OR DEVICE INACCESSIBILITY.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by unpairing your devices and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
